What is AccXES? The AccXES controller architecture was formerly referred to as the 8830 Controller. Today the AccXES controller performs a myriad of tasks that are much more than a standard data format raster image processor (RIP). We have trademarked the name "AccXES" to be more descriptive of its current capabilities.

What file formats are supported on the AccXES controller? Hewlett-Packard Graphics Languages (HP-GL, HP-GL/2) Hewlett-Packard Raster Transfer Language (HP-RTL) Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) Joint Photographic Expert Group File Interchange Format (JPEG/JFIF) Adobe PostScript (PS) (Optional) Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) (included with the PostScript option) Versatec Color Graphics Language (VCGL) Versatec Random Format (VRF) Versatec Raster Formats (VDS Block Raster, VDS Compact Raster, Versatec Raw Raster) Computer Graphics Metafile (CGM) Calcomp 907, PCI CALS (1,2) CALS-4 (C4)

What is Color Scan to Net? Color Scan to Net is the ability to scan color documents and capture color information in either a TIFF or JPEG file format. Color Scan to Net will be enabled as an option with the Synergix scanner for the 510 family of products and the X2-TECH with AccXES.
Will the Scan to Net key enable Color Scan to Net? The Scan to Net key will not enable Color Scan to Net. To enable Color Scan to Net, it will be necessary for the customer to purchase the Color Enablement feature key in addition to the Scan to Net key.
Can I use both firewire ports on the Synergix Scanner to share the scanner between two AccXES controllers? Although the Synergix scanner has two firewire ports, the scanner can not be shared between two printers.
How are feature key options enabled? If a feature is optional, a customer may order the option. A kit will be delivered to the customer containing a unique Coupon ID. The customer will access www.XES.com/keys and enter their Coupon ID, their Advanced Network HW Address for Controller Enabled features (Scan to Net, Account Data Tracking, and PostScript), and in some cases, their Printer model number in addition to other customer information. For Scanner enabled features (Color, and 4 ips Scanning), the customer will enter their Coupon ID and their Scanner HW Address. A file is then available for the customer to download. The customer submits the file to their system via the Document Submission Tool or the Web PMT upload button. After submitting the file, the system must be re-booted and the feature will be enabled.
